Not for Sale

What stops Infosys or TCS from bidding for CSC and ACS, asks a columnist in an article in an Indian newspaper, as the two North American vendors are now on sale?

So far, Indians have not relied too much on inorganic growth path. Of late, however, most of them have started acquiring companies onshore, though on a smaller scale.

With private equity firms pitching in to tie up, is it finally time for Indian companies to go big time?

Not for Sale

Affiliated Computer Services has issued an official statement that it is not selling out. It says that "recent unsolicited discussions with a group of private-equity investors regarding a possible sale of the company have ended."

The company says it has been considering alternatives to enhance shareholder value, but has ruled out a sale of the company.

Times Now & TV18

I remember those days when I was in Delhi; TOI contains lot of HOT news in the newspaper itself with a paper with local news (eg: Delhi Times), which was more interesting than the Main Paper. Junker & Cogito have mentioned about this paper already.

India Times (Times of India) has started their own Channel in India with the help of Reuters named as TIMES NOW. Announcement says that this channel is going to be a News Channel. Slogan of this Channel is FEEL THE NEWS. We already felt the news in Paper and enjoyed cracking jokes on it. Anyway, we welcome the Idea of TOI for getting the help of Reuters to Compete with CNN.

IBN Live is apparently a news channel from TV18 and CNN. Rajdeep Sardesai, The Big Fight guy left NDTV and leading this channel. From their site, IBN seems to be a pro-blog channel as they are calling for Citizen Journalists and an exclusive blog microsite from the journalists.

Nice to know, the TV media is going the blog way for GLOBAL News and let our people will come out of watching tearful Serials and bull shit movies/songs.

Welcome TOI & TV18 to the biggest Way and let join hands for Congratulate them.

Confidence

Got this forwarded Joke. Enjoy!

Hypothetical situation where 20 executives board an airplane and are
told that the flight that they are about to take is the first-ever to
feature pilotless technology: It is an uncrewed aircraft. Each one of
the CEOs is then told, privately, that their company's software is
running the aircraft's automatic pilot system. Nineteen of the CEOs
promptly leave the aircraft, each offering a different type of xcuse.

One CEO alone remains on board the jet, seeming very calm indeed.Asked
why he is so confident in this first uncrewed flight, he replies: "If
it's the same software that runs my company's IT systems, this plane
won't even take off."

This is called Confidence!

Spam - Unbelievable

Yesterday I got a mail from Cernar for some product promotion. He just referred the group name, as I am one of the member of the group I got the mail. Later When I am trying to sign for the product by providing my mail address, prompted for my mail address (options are Yahoomail, Hotmail, Gmail and....). At that I have given my yahoo account.

Next question is that to provide my Yahoo Password. I was bit surprised that How a spam mails will use my Yahoo creditials, as it has to go through a Authentication in Yahoo. Anyway I provided my password, next step was really shocking, after getting my credentials the web shown the total address in my address List.

I am bit confused after this how they are accessing Yahoo address from external sources.. if it is happening to Yahoo also for Hotmail. Very smart and professional.

So guys beware! Dont provide any password for any spam tools
